About us

NCP Art is a place dealing in a broad sense with works of art. Our main activity is focused on the Laboratory of Analysis and Conservation of Works.

We specialize in performing non-destructive analyzes and conservation of works of easel painting and sculpture, as well as conducting art history analyses and expert opinions confirming authenticity.

Our original project is the Dossier of the Work, comprehensive documentation of a work of art. An example of a dossier can be found in the Realizations tab.

Curator - Art historian

A graduate of the history of sacred art at the Academy of Catholic Theology in Warsaw (currently Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University). In the years 1995-2021, a substantive employee of the District Museum of Leon Wyczółkowski in Bydgoszcz (subsequent professional ranks: assistant, senior assistant, assistant professor, curator, head of the Art Department, deputy director for collections). Curator and co-curator of over 60 exhibitions in the field of art at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries and contemporary art, presented in museums and galleries in Poland and abroad. The author and co-author of almost 40 publications on art: popular science studies, catalogues, exhibition guides and articles. Member of the Association of Art Historians. Awarded with the Merit for Polish Culture badge and the President of the City Medal for her work for Bydgoszcz.

Absolwent Akademii Techniczno Rolniczej w Bydgoszczy oraz Uniwersytetu Gdańskiego. Mikrobiolog i historyk sztuki. Specjalizuje się w badaniach i analizie składu pierwiastkowego pigmentów. Współtwórca projektu autorskiego NCP Poland - Dossier Utworu. Współpracuje z Bydgoskim Centrum Sztuki oraz z bydgoskim oddziałem Sopockiego Domu Aukcyjnego.

Zofia Seyda

Head of the conservators team

Graduated from the Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art at the Faculty of Fine Arts UMK in Toruń, specializing in easel painting and polychrome sculpture with an additional specialization in modern art conservation. Has many years of experience in the conservation and restoration of monuments. She dealt with the works of famous artists of easel painting, participated in restoration works in important architectural buildings, including during the discovery and conservation of gothic wall paintings in the Bydgoszcz Cathedral, and performed full independent conservation of the organ in the Sacre Coeur in Bydgoszcz. Professionally associated with the Bydgoszcz Art Center and the Bydgoszcz branch of the Sopot Auction House.

Conservator

Graduated from Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art at the Faculty of Fine Arts UMK in Toruń, specializing in easel painting and polychrome sculpture. He has many years of experience in the conservation and restoration of monuments. She worked on works by famous artists of easel and wall painting and took part in conservation and research work on important architectural structures, including the discovery and conservation of polychromes and the DPS in Trzebiechów designed by Henry Van de Velde. She is the co-author of the book Flowers of Art Nouveau, published by Margrafsen, as well as publications and articles for the Bydgoszcz Art Center, with which she cooperates. Professionally associated with the Bydgoszcz branch of the Sopot Auction House.

She graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, majoring in Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art, specializing in the conservation of paintings and polychrome sculptures. During her studies, she completed a five-month internship in Ancona (Italy). She worked there on the conservation of wall paintings in the Jona Palace as part of the European Leonardo da Vinci program (2004). From 2008 to 2022, employee of the District Museum. Leon Wyczółkowski in Bydgoszcz in the Museum Conservation Department as a senior conservator. She was primarily involved in the conservation of objects of old and contemporary painting (including by D. Chodowiecki, L. Sobocki, J. Tarasin, P. Potworowski, J. Cybis, T. Brzozowski, H. Żuławska), ethnographic objects, and polychrome sculpture, and additionally carried out the prevention of museum objects. paper. She implemented the project of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage regarding the conservative conservation of a set of works on paper by Leon Wyczółkowski.
